As the welcome page of this website already said, my name is Alexander Franken. Below is just a little bit about myself.
I am an aspiring photographer, based in the Netherlands who, after having a lifetime of interest in photography, at the end of 2024 decided to finally buy a "real" camera. Since then I have tested and experimented, bought so many new fun additional things, trinkets and gear.
Most of this was just playing, trying and learning. But in 2026, with my contract for an office employment coming to an end, I decided to take a big leap and start my own photography business.
For this I decided to use my already set up portfolio website (which you are currently on!) as well as all my social media accounts which you can find at the bottom of the pages.
As someone who is new in a field, well in his thirties and let's say... very prone to imposter syndrome, this is indeed a big and scary step. But one that I am already proud of taking.
I hope you, the reader, will join me on this ever growing, changing, challenging but most of all fun adventure and that I might welcome you in front of my lens(es).
